“The student has made excellent gains in her literacy skills and it is particularly pleasing to see improvements in her comprehension and written language. She is in the below/low average range cognitively and so her progress is well beyond expectation. Both student and tutor Jeanette Williams should be very proud of the progress made. The tutoring worked well for student probably because of its structure, consistency and ongoing consolidation of what is learned.

“He has improved in almost all areas retested. He has made particularly good improvements in spelling accuracy and phonemic awareness. He tests as an average reader (still slightly below his chronological age) but his confidence and enjoyment in reading have improved. What is very pleasing is that he is now happy at school, whereas two years ago he was experiencing school as hard work”.
